Our Story

Mark and Kim originally met at work in August 2015 at a work happy hour. Over the next year Mark and Kim worked together on various projects and finally in June 2016 Mark asked Kim out on a date (July 13, 2016). After dating for 11 months, work sent Kim to London for 2 years. Mark and Kim persevered and mastered the long distance relationship. They partied in Ibiza, sailed the Adriatic, broke plates in Mykonos, watched the World Cup in Russia, celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin, went dog sledding in Iceland, saw the Philadelphia Eagles play in London, drank beers at Oktoberfest in Munich, rang in the New Year with James Bond in Monte Carlo and skied (Mark walked) the French Alps. Finally after 730 days away, Kim moved back to New York in June 2019 and on September 27, 2019 Mark proposed to Kim in Central Park. Kim and Mark are excited about their future together and cannot wait to spend their wedding day with you.

About

The Proposal

On Friday September 27, 2019 (365 days before their original wedding date) Mark asked Kim to “grab coffee” after lunch. He took her to Aretsky's Patroon - a rooftop bar near the office where they had their first date. As they were leaving to head back to the office Mark grabbed a suitcase from the coat check with a secret stash of Kim’s clothes. To her surprise, she found out that she wasn't going back to work, but instead there was an uber waiting outside to take her to a hair appointment. After the appointment they walked to Bow Bridge in Central Park where Mark had set up a proposal site overlooking the bridge and the NYC skyline. After crossing the bridge, Mark led Kim to the site and got down on one knee (accidentally proposing with the wrong hand) and thankfully she said yes! They then headed downtown to their favorite restaurant - Carbone where groomsman Carlos Gonzalez was able to secure them a highly coveted reservation. After dinner they met Kim’s parents for a celebratory drink and then headed back to their apartment where family and friends were waiting to surprise Kim.
